I live in the deep country in a small town not far from Houston. I live with my partner,  two dogs (Thor, the dog who can do no wrong, and Megan, the dog who sees the world as a toy), three cats, a Blue Heron (a visitor, but usually around someplace), and about 20 tree frogs that live on our kitchen window.

I am originally from New York City, so country living is a new experience for me. The stars, the coyotes, the peace, and the bird songs are daily joys.

I have been a vegetarian for over 40 years. Spiritually, I am most interested in the teachings of Jesus, which I have found to be very similar to the teachings of Buddha. I would classify myself as a Progressive Christian with interest in Christian mysticism.
